I'm not a big fan of Maybelline, but I like Rimmel and Revlon for lipstick. Max Factor has good mascaras and MAC has the best eyeshadows and eyeliners.
Depends on your colouring and how sensitive your skin is. I have an olive compextion and i find that Revlon is the only foundation that matches my skin. They also have a great range of cream, brown any purple shades of eye shadow, eye liners and lippy which suits my colouring. All brands are pretty good and it just depends on personal choice
For eyeshadows - Rimmel, Revlon, L'Oreal, NYX
For eyeliners - Maybelline, L'Oreal, Revlon
For mascaras - L'Oreal, Max Factor, NYX, Maybelline
For lipsticks - Revlon (make sure the formula is fragrance free %26amp; taste free, avoid Moon Drops formula), Rimmel, Neutrogena
try using bare minerals for foundation it;s pure wont give you zits and doesnt look cakey. mac will make you look cakey if you use their foundation, their eyeshadows are good and mineral skin finish that i love but other than that that's all I use from them.

I would suggest buying the makeup brand MAC but they mainly sell it at shopping malls and it is a bit more expensive. But the makeup people at Mac do a really good job at helping you pick the right shade of foundations. Like the eyeshadows, eyeliners and mascaras, they can help you pick a shade and product that goes well with your skin and their eyeliners are really good! They don't ever crack or smudge. I highly recommend their products!

The ones u mentioned above r all great. They all do the job really. Max factor is a great one too. Australis is a good one too these days, just don't buy any cheaper brands because they r old and bad for health. Good luck!
They're all top brands. Experiment in the store and see which shades and colours work for you. Ask yourself if you need long lasting foundation or if you're travelling whether you need one of those quick-stop travelling powders. Go shopping with a friend or family member and get a second opinion to help with choosing.

What do you think of Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat?
And also what do you think of their Quick Dry Base Coat? Are they fast drying like they claim to be? And is the top coat shiny?

I have been using this product for over 5 years and I have to say that it does perform everything it says it does.
I firstly put it on my nails as a base coat and wait for a minute to dry, and then my polish goes on great. And yes it is shiny as a top coat,but not too shiny.

I apply moisturizer before (a must for my dry skin), the foundation, blush, and then set it with powder.
Price wise, it is expensive especially for a drug-store brand. But I always get it when Rite-Aid, Walgreens, or CVS has a buy one get one free deal. I save a lot of money, making them 6 dollars each. (12 dollars originally)

I don`t know about REVLON, but I know about ESSIE, they have this gorgeous dark red called THIGH HIGH.
It is totally the winter just by looking at this increadibly rich colour, it is unbeatable.
The thing with ESSIE is that you have to apply three coats, so it looks really visible, other than this everything else is perfect.

The first coat looks like fresh blood being applied to your nails and the second coat looks like blood that is stored in a bag... Sorry to be gross but it is such a deep dark red that is what it looks like. IMO- you will need very short nails to pull this color off without looking tacky.

I really never went for anything Revlon or Max Factor. I have always used Clinque - and they have some really good foundations that cover imperfections. Go to the counter and they will know what you really need and also put it on you so you can see - free of charge.
Don't forget that good quality micro-makeup will deal with many imperfections but it needs to be shown to you how to apply and can be very expensive. When it dried it left me with orange streaks at my jaw (i was blending well)- and i bought 'Light.'

I bought it in the lightest shade and I have light olive skin, my flatmate used it as well and it was fine for her too she has very pale ivory skin. It's not magical at skin matching, it's just very sheer and blendable so it would suit a lot of skin tones because it's not high coverage. If you need a full coverage foundation this would not be suitable, it's more of a tinted moisturiser like consistency (although it's not moisturising!) I know a few black and mixed race women who like the darkest shade and think it's excellent, and quite pale people suit the fairest one which I have but the middle shades tend to be where it doesn't match anyone.
I haven't actually bought the product, but I tried in in boots. I'm naturally pale, so I tried the lightest shade which was way to dark for me. It did not blend at all. I was surprised as i'm not so pale that I can't get foundation. The majority of foundations cater well for my skin tone, so I think I would blame the product this time rather than my skin tone. I was suggest L'oreal true match, or MAX Factor's mineral foundation. As both of these are mineral foundations they are far better for your skin than liquid foundation :)
I tried it and I wasn't a fan. It takes a LOT to blend so it gets to your skin tone and it still stayed really grey on me for a while. Plus there are definitely some red undertones to it that my skin doesn't like. To me, it's not really worth the money because I don't even know if I can blend it with another foundation to get the perfect shade. Not really worth it. Good luck!

a long lasting tinted moisturizer is Neutrogena Tinted Moisturizer. it works really well, and has SPF 30. :)

I bought this in Ivory for combination/oily skins, having heard good reviews about it for ages on the internet. I have pretty terrible skin, oily on the nose-forehead-cheeks zone with occasional dry patches and scarring on the sides of my face (eeek!). This isn't a perfect colour match for me, it's a bit too pink, but it's the closest a foundation has ever come to matching my skintone so I was pleased with that. It doesn't cover all the scarring on my cheeks perfectly but I can live with a few red marks.
It covers all of my blackheads and red spots without looking cakey, and with a light dusting of powder leaves a lovely smooth matte finish to my skin. It lasts for absolutely agesss, I went to dance in this and afterwards it hadn't melted off or smudged at all, all it needed was a powder touch-up. It hasn't broken me out either yet (: it is pretty difficult to take off at night but I might just need a better makeup remover. The one and only thing I really hate about this is the bottle. It's dreadful, I end up wasting product because it just runs right out, it's clunky and takes up loads of room in my makeup bag, I'm terrified of the lid unscrewing or dropping it and breaking it, it's just awful. I would much prefer this in different packaging, but I can always pour the product into a plain pump bottle I guess. I'll most likely buy this again as it's really impressed me, minus the packaging.
i love this foundation it doesn't look cakey at all! as long as you apply it with a foundation brush or a sponge it looks really nice. when i put it on it looks like im wearing hardly any foundation. i don't think it gives me spots and as long as you wear moisturiser under any foundation it shouldn't clog up your pores anyway. i remove it with clean and clear blackhead clearing cleanser and this removes the foundation really easily because it contains alcohol and it helps get rid of spots. im not sure if its getting rid of my blackheads though.
also if i put quite a bit of the colorstay foundation on it starts looking a bit pink (i use ivory) so if you're trying to cover up a spot or a freckle you should use the foundation as a concealer before putting it on all over your face.
it might be abit too heavy for you but it is a good foundation %26amp; very good quality.
I think Mymix foundation (featured in Daily Mail; see below for details). would be good for you as it doesn't give a heavy coverage %26amp; looks gorgeous on the skin. %26amp; it is very good value for money.As mentioned in the Daily Mail: ';..looks as if you have had a facelift..';. Also, gives you a lovely glow %26amp; what I noticed it doesn't sit on the skin but blends in really well %26amp; also doesn't get into pores.

Yes, it will cover your spots and it is a good foundation. BUT it breaks a lot of people out in more spots, and isn't good for young skin due to the high amount of chemicals in it to make it stay for ages! Don't use it - it will make you get lots of spots and really damage your skin.
I would reccomend that you use bare minerals. It gives a good coverage, and since there are no harsh chemicals it will help clear spots up and help prevent them. It will hide your spots and blackheads too :D And it definatly won't make your skin bumpy or flaky.

Dont use it. I used revlon to cover a few (not even that visible) spots and my skin kept getting worse and worse.
Dont use foundation at all. Be nice to your skin. Use SPF and daily scrubs, and you'll have beautiful skin in a month.

I have pretty terrible skin, oily on the nose-forehead-cheeks zone with occasional dry patches and scarring on the sides of my face (eeek!). This isn't a perfect colour match for me, it's a bit too pink, but it's the closest a foundation has ever come to matching my skintone so I was pleased with that. It doesn't cover all the scarring on my cheeks perfectly but I can live with a few red marks.
It covers all of my blackheads and red spots without looking cakey, and with a light dusting of powder leaves a lovely smooth matte finish to my skin. It lasts for absolutely agesss, I went to dance in this and afterwards it hadn't melted off or smudged at all, all it needed was a powder touch-up. It hasn't broken me out either yet (: it is pretty difficult to take off at night but I might just need a better makeup remover. The one and only thing I really hate about this is the bottle. It's dreadful, I end up wasting product because it just runs right out, it's clunky and takes up loads of room in my makeup bag, I'm terrified of the lid unscrewing or dropping it and breaking it, it's just awful. I would much prefer this in different packaging, but I can always pour the product into a plain pump bottle I guess. I'll most likely buy this again as it's really impressed me, minus the packaging.
i love this foundation it doesn't look cakey at all! as long as you apply it with a foundation brush or a sponge it looks really nice. when i put it on it looks like im wearing hardly any foundation. i don't think it gives me spots and as long as you wear moisturiser under any foundation it shouldn't clog up your pores anyway. i remove it with clean and clear blackhead clearing cleanser and this removes the foundation really easily because it contains alcohol and it helps get rid of spots. im not sure if its getting rid of my blackheads though.
also if i put quite a bit of the colorstay foundation on it starts looking a bit pink (i use ivory) so if you're trying to cover up a spot or a freckle you should use the foundation as a concealer before putting it on all over your face.
it might be abit too heavy for you but it is a good foundation %26amp; very good quality.
I think Mymix foundation (featured in Daily Mail; see below for details). would be good for you as it doesn't give a heavy coverage %26amp; looks gorgeous on the skin. %26amp; it is very good value for money.As mentioned in the Daily Mail: ';..looks as if you have had a facelift..';. Also, gives you a lovely glow %26amp; what I noticed it doesn't sit on the skin but blends in really well %26amp; also doesn't get into pores.

Yes, it will cover your spots and it is a good foundation. BUT it breaks a lot of people out in more spots, and isn't good for young skin due to the high amount of chemicals in it to make it stay for ages! Don't use it - it will make you get lots of spots and really damage your skin.
I would reccomend that you use bare minerals. It gives a good coverage, and since there are no harsh chemicals it will help clear spots up and help prevent them. It will hide your spots and blackheads too :D And it definatly won't make your skin bumpy or flaky.

well i have black heads too but it doesn't stop me from doing what i want i think that type of foundation is good on any type of skin the teenage spots are just something every teenager goes through but teenagers i know wear foundation without a worry!

Dont use it. I used revlon to cover a few (not even that visible) spots and my skin kept getting worse and worse.
Dont use foundation at all. Be nice to your skin. Use SPF and daily scrubs, and you'll have beautiful skin in a month.

It depends on your skin type too. Liquid might not stay too long on oily skin especially in the summer. Try a powder one and see how that works for you. There are many drugstore brands that are cheaper than Revlon and still work great. I use NYC loose mineral powder to cover up my blemshes and it stays on all day. I have oily skin and none of the liquid ones work for me.

You should try the L'Oreal Bare Naturale line of makeup, though. It's really gentle and good for your skin. And surprisingly, the foundation gives FLAWLESS coverage! And that's something coming from me seeing as I have acne, redness, and an uneven skin tone!

I disagree. I have both mascaras and I find that Maybelline mascara as a little too runny. I have Revlon Luxurious Lengths mascara and its just brilliant. It has long bristles on one side to encourage thicker and longer lashes and the other side is short to develop colour.
My mum also uses it and she loves the fact that it doesn't irritate her eyes because its a gel instead of a liquid.
For me, it doesn't clump and thickens and darkens my fair, thin lashes.Revlon ...?

i use shiseido's eye and lip makeup remover on revlon's colorstay products. i have oily and acne prone skin as well and i usually don't like the oily residue that it leaves behind. but the oil helps the makeup come off easier and this way, your skin doesnt dry up. what is usually do right after removing makeup is just use a cleanser to get rid of the oily feeling.

Don't get loreal! I brought it, and it gave me a rash! the make up was really harsh on my skin - it felt like it was on fire! Also the brush included was really scratchy and irritated me more. I since found out that loreal test on animals. I would buy the revlon one - no bunnies died and its better quality make up. But if your open to suggestion, bare minerals is the best of the best :)

It works well enough, but I find it tedious to pull hair Thru that cap with that tiny little pick..... I use an old toothbrush and dip it into the mix and apply to sections of hair.... works great for me. Good luck!

I have a Chi... and I highly, highly recommend it.
If you want good results, you really have to pay for it.

i've been through 3 types of straightners.
the first one was conair... it was mmmkaayy i mean it was good, but not as good as i wanted it to be...
the second one was Revlon, i hate to say it, but it sucked, a lot it took forever to heat up! and it wasnt even that hot! looking back at those pictures i took (i also have curlyish/wavyhair) i was thinking wow (in a bad way) the Revlon straightner was overall the worste (im sorry but its my honest opinion) also another note, usually you get what you pay for, Revlon i got my straightner for 20$$ i mean i admit that was pretty cheap and i got baad results
my final straightner (and the one im using) is bedhead. bedhead is fantastic, its 70$$ it goes to 200'C very fast and when your finished it makes your hair shiny somehow, and i have thiiick hair. it takes me about an hour to do hair that reaches about half my back,thick, and curly. i would much rather prefer you to get bedhead
also straightning your when its wet is..... not good. i used to do it a couple years ago and nothingseemed to hapen at first but later on as i kept doing it, i practically fried my hair.. so i warn you DONT DO IT please! its somewhat okay to do it when its damp, but to get the best results do it when its dry... personally i like taking a shower, going to bed and fixing my hair in the morning!

I find that you should first use a concealer to cover any dark spots you may have. Then use a foundation that is 1 shade darker than your skin tone. Than lightly dust a bit of powder over your face which is one shade lighter than you skin tone. Then apply eyeshadow. Try to go natural with a hint of gold with shimmer and maybe a tad of dark blue to go with your clothes because you shouldn't really match your clothes with your shadow, I should know, I'm a makeup artist. This will brighten up your eyes. Then dust a little shimmery gold eyeshadow or bronzer around the edges of your face, this will help enhance the glow and beauty. The finish with mascara if you want a a nice lippy or gloss. ENJOY!

I am thinking of buying the Revlon colorstay blemish concealer, but it says :
When using this product using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor; avoid contact with eyes
I dont want to increase irritation.

Okay...if you look on practically any acne cleanser with good ingredients (such as benzoyl peroxide, or salicyd acid, etc) it ALWAYS says that...just use them both, and if any dry skin comes with em, use face lotion (somethin that's meant for the face, and has no oils, and doesn't clog ur pores) =) good luck

I would be very very very careful mixing anything with clean and clear products! I made that mistake and the skin on my entire face had cracks (no lie) and it was red and i could barely move my mouth that it hurt so bad! I would not take my chances....

I have used their hair color. I have gone over on the time by about 6 or 7 minutes. I didn't experience any bad reaction. The only thing is, I would advise you use caution, because I once used Garnier Nutrisse and I left it on for an extra 15 minutes, and my scalp felt as if it was kind of burning in certain areas, even a for a while after I rinsed out all the excess dye. So, limit the amount of ';extra'; time you leave any hair color on your hair.
Um, I would not that, cause all of those chemicals are not good for your hair, and leaving it on for more that 25 min is not good either. And i don't think it affects the fading..... but idk?

I too fell in love w/ the many shades of Revlon's creme eye shadow...then tried to put the stuff on...ugh. So, here's what ya need to do. I would suggest you go to Target and buy the Boot's brand (known as No 7) eye shadow base. It keeps your shadow flawless....ESPECIALLY creme shadows. However, if you don't want to do that...use regular base on you eyelids first...then apply the creme. I like to use a piece of natural sponge that I tore off a larger sponge to apply the shadow...it gives it a flawless, seamless look, but you can also use your fingers. DO NOT USE AN APPLICATOR. It won't work and will smudge and crease. When you have applied the shadow...get some loose powder and sprinkle it into your hand. Dip your finger into the powder and lightly apply it over the shadow. This keeps the make up looking fresh. Good Luck! I also try to use creme blush...it's so hard to blend it in well. It didn't get very shiny as long as I used pressed powder (I have very oily skin), and I didn't break out from it. The cons about it were that it was so heavy that it looked very unnatural and I had to literally scrub it off my face at night because it was one of those long lasting foundations...
So overall I'd say it's not a bad foundation, but it's not exactly great. I stopped using it because I found so many other better ones. Maybelline makes a good one called ';SuperStay Silky Foundation'; which lasts just as long, isn't as heavy, looks natural, and is just so much better.
